Its fine. People have put their keys through the spin cycle before. Some people have gone swimming and I remember somebody went white water rafting. They're pretty durable.

At least you weren't driving. My key went through the washer + dryer multiple times, no problems.

They make you want to put your keyfob in the washer on purpose?

We accidentally put my drunk friends blood covered clothing in the washer with his Blackberry. Turned on the next day. But thats about it. Oops...

Its amazing how durable the key fobs are, yet they cant make the stupid roundel stay on! I had to superglue it on after it kept falling off.

Oh, no! My iPhone was fine after I washed it - the key is to immediately power it off and put it in a bowl of dry rice for a few days.

Its still functional but I am just afraid that maybe when I am driving that my key will suddenly fail on me and shut down the engine

Yup! Also, put it in salt shakers if your salt keeps clumping.

I forgot mine was in my pocket and went swimming. It was underwater for almost 2 hours and it still worked when I got home.

If you use it may cause your system a sudden shock, sending your heart in to cardiac arrest and resulting in an agonizing and painful tongue-biting death resulting in your body exploding and spraying blood for hundreds of yards and causing bystanders to seek mental health counseling for years. If you are lucky. If not, you may suffer a worse fate and become enamored with the philosophical writings Sarah Palin and join the Tea Party group.
