HPFP/Engine MALFUNCTION

My 08 Alpine white 335i coupe has 18,000 miles on it and this past week i experienced my fourth major engine failure! I was driving up an on_ramp to the 405FWY merging with an 18-wheeler and BOOM the engine started rattling/rumbling and then it was gone. NO POWER. Lucky me, i am alive and okay.

Got it to service the next day, sounding like a diesel from the 70's, and it took a full 24hrs to do yet again the SAME repair.

I called BMW NA that day and filed a complaint. Told them what happened, how many times its been repaired, and complained about the constant long cranks and so on (3 seconds it takes sometimes). i have had the car for 18 months and i have taken it to my dealer's service bay 6 times!
Withing 3 days my case was elevated and within 1 week, i got a call from a customer care rep telling me they were taking the car back!

Papers have been sent to me. All they need is a signature and 3 weeks later they pick it up from me at the dealer. DONE

Thank you to all of you memebers who have put up all the many informative posts and made my run with a 335i coupe so enjoyable. What a sports car indeed, its a shame. I found many tips and needed info and insight on these forums. Good Luck to all and i hope not too many of you end up with the same problems as me.

Congrats man; glad to see BMW NA gave you some justice. Just wished they would have done it earlier. Enjoy your new ride whatever it is.
