Question Went to start 06 325i and brake pedal is stiff and car would not read key

Ive only driven my BMW about 400 miles since November so it sits for a week at a time sometimes in the winter. When I sat in it, the brake pedal was stiff and car did nothing with key in dash when pushing. After about 3 times it did it and fine when using the car on regular basis. What could that be? Its a CPO and Im still on 50K maint plan. Car has 30,400 miles. Been driving the 4Runner most of the time this winter. Any ideas? BTW here is a shameless pic I took tonight after putting a coat of Ultima on it.

You didn't push the brake pedal far enough (because it was so stiff).
The stiff brake pedal after sitting for a while is due to a defective valve - get it replaced under your warranty!

There is a vacuum check valve in the hose to the booster that leaks causing it hard to press the brake pedal. part # 34 33 7 577 336

SIB 34 06 07 has all the info!

I have had this done once...and it still feels a bit stiff sometimes, but not like it was.

interesting.. the stiff pedal has happened to me only a couple of times, but it seems only when I was parked/stopped on an incline, and I thought it was the comfort stop feature. it went away when I tapped the gas pedal a little bit.

This valve wont have any negative on the brakes or anything if it is not replaced right?

I noticed mine is always stiff b4 starting but I thought that was due to normal booster pressure since the car is not running yet?
