Really? Thats madness.

The petrol engine is a good'un. I take it your getting the 2.5 not the 3.0 version.

I think there was some issues with it at first with injectors etc. Ask M3-fast. he had one.

i PMd him and this is the info he got...
Part-exchange Price:
Excellent condition: £10150
Average condition: £9150
Below average condition: £8040

Expect to get only slightly more than top trade value for a private sale.

these prices are trade in prices so for me wouldnt reflect a true price?

I would say its a bargain at that price! I would get a 330i/d if you want more power.

Sounds like a bargain, as long as the 80k has been careful and not abuse......

Mine was the 3 litre version so not sure of the differences (except the extra horses required to lug the lardy 'vert around ) but yes, your right Carl, it did have injector issues. It was on it's third set in two years when I got rid of it. Not sure if the earlier 2.5 lumps had this issue though as not heard many people talking about injector failure on 'em?

As long as it has full service history Raf, I wouldn't be too worried. 80k isn't that much really if the price is right. I think that car with spec will fetch £9k all day long, if it has issues bung it in the 'trader and move it on

It's the 2.5 litre one Raf. The 3.0 litre 325i started with the 2008 model year (late 07 cars only):

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_N52

They are all the N52 engine, so purely a change in capacity.

Having owned mine for over 6 months now, I've had no problems, its an amazing engine, I got mine for the cheapest I've ever seen one go for, due to dealer mistake.. but yeah I've had no problems, its fast enough, good spec, respected by the people who remember when the 325i was only second to the M3, familiar 6cyl howl, good economy and a relaxing drive, go for it! Join the club! (PS. Mines a 2005 so the 2.5 engine)

Shafz.

EDIT: Group 16 for SE, Group 17 for M sport.
