Can you extend BMW warranty just 1 year?
I bought my '07 E92 in July of 2009 so I haven't even owned it one year yet. But I did get a good price on it and feel that I could sell it today without losing much.
I have fallen in love with it but am worried about repair costs as I have had my car into the dealership 4 times for wastegate rattling issues. Leasing now appeals to me more than ever as it keeps me protected. I originally wanted to lease in Summer 2011 but I don't want to be out of warranty from Oct 2010 until Summer 2011. Should I just sell my car, eat the $3000-$5000 and lease in October? Or should I get a short-term warranty (how expensive are these?) with BMW to give me some more time? |

There is a lot of time between now and October to think about it, see how your car is/isn't reliable, etc. Purchasing/leasing can only take a day. I would wait longer and see how the car does and how you feel about it.
