E93 backrest popped out at high speed?
It happened to me almost every time I drive with the top down. Once I reach 80mph, the wind would cause the backrest of the backseat to be unhitched and fell down. It's the area you fold down to storage skiis from the trunk. Any other E93 owners have this problem and can I have the dealer to fix it under my warranty?

I would definately talk to your dealer about is, because it shouldn't happen. Mine doesn't have the same problem (driven it up to 230 km/hour with the roof down) so it's not normal.
The rear armrest as well as the backrest should click in place, and stay there! |

I have had this happen before too but it was user error. You really have to SLAM that seat closed or it will not completely latch. I don't like slamming things on my car but that is one that needs to be. The Germans want to make sure that you are doing things deliberately I think. No wishywashy lightly close it.

I posted this a little while back
It's Not really speed related it's happened at speeds as low as 50 if it wasn't a great road and has stayed put at speed of 155 I had the entire rear replace yesterday though since I got tired of it falling during bumps I haven't had a chance to drive With the top down yet tho also, get the wind deflecpr, it'll help keep it in place from what I Can tell (haven tested it yet as I just got it too)

Mine definitely doesn't do that and I've driven 90+ mph with the top down, both with and without the wind deflector.
As an aside, the wind deflector does work wonders and I highly recommend it. |
