Hello everyone I purchased a 08 335i 6mt last month and I already have the mod bug.

This is my first e92, so I have a few questions.

Does the 335i come with a limited slip diff or is it open.
- has anyone installed an lsd, is there a difference?

I am thinking about getting the JB3 piggy back.
- I like my warranty, what is the best way to keep it? with the jb3 installed?

Blow off valve, I have noticed they sell them for our cars but is there any performance gains for having one? what is the point of getting one, if any.

I also noticed that the car is pretty loud compared to my previous bmw is this normal? I have taken it back to the dealership and they say its normal.

congrats!

get the BT scan tool with the JB3. you can clear codes with it before you take the car in for service at the dealership...and make sure of course that you take out your JB3.

Congratulations on your purchase. If you are into mods, the first thing I would buy is the Bavarian Technic diagnostic tool.

Congrats on the car!

The JB3 system will not void the warranty outright but if BMW does discover the software and proves a problem with the engine is related to the software, they can refuse to do the work under warranty. However, you can uninstall the software or set it to Map 0 fairly easily. It is easily the most popular software upgrade and I have yet to see someone with an issue.
