Just wondering if i can put chains on my MY09 335i coupe with 19 inch wheels and michelin sport ps2s. Also, if you can help me find a very affordable snowboarding rack for the car. Thank you!

dont waste your time putting snow chains on summer tires. your better off getting a set of winter tires and using those.

I would agree. Also, I think snow chains have become illegal in a lot of places.

nope, chains are used in most places where there is snowfall and the roads can be treturous. you are probably thinking of studded tires, and yes they are not allowed in most places

You don't want to invest in winter tires? Especially if you live in a place where snowfall and hazardous conditions are frequent.

he lives in SoCal. He doesn't need a full set of winter tires to make a weekend trip up to the ski slopes. It's pretty common for people to use chains here when they go to the mountains. I'm sure the OP can find chains to fit his wheels/tires, though I have never been skiing out here so I can't offer advice on where to find them.

Ya, i just purchased my first snowboard after recently learning the basics. And now i want to make weekly trips up into the mountains. So ya, i dont think winter tires would be cost efficient.

Regarding the chains for your wheels - have you looked into the wheel socks? Visit http://www.roofbox.co.uk/car-snow-socks/
