New clutch for E90 feels way too lose, is this right?

I have a 2006 E90 that has 90,000 miles and needed a new clutch, just got the car back today and the clutch is extremely lose, is this how it should be? Or should it be firm?

Do you mean it feels very light and requires little force to press to the floor? If so this is completely normal.

Our clutches are pretty light. But if you have doubts, ask or jump into one of the new cars on the lot to try (assuming you can find a MT!).

a 335's clutch does have a few different parts from a 2006 E90. It is slightly more firm when pressing downwards. Stock clutch on a 2006 E90 330 is pretty light.

Hmmm... FWIW, the 335i's that I've been in have a noticeably lighter clutch than mine. I recall when it came out that I wasn't the only one who thought so.

But in any case, they are both light. Much lighter than the clutch in a typical sports car, more like the clutch in a typical DD.

Nope, no CDV mod, well I guess this is normal then. Maybe it was the knee surgery right before purchasing the MT.

Yea, new clutches are just crazy light. I had a new clutch put in when we did a gearbox warrantee job about four months ago; the new clutch then was spookily effortless... That's since tightened up and I've also removed the CDV. Between them there's more heft and feel (tho not nearly as "mechanical" feeling as, say, a Porsche)
