Any no drill front plate options?

Got my car without the bumper being drilled, but I'm reluctant to keep pressing my luck here in MD without the front tag, are there any options out there aftermarket for a no drill solution, or do I just need to suck it up & get out the black & decker?

Cp-E has an option for the tow hook to be used as a front plate too.

I live in MD too, and it prob makes more sense to just have the front drilled. Tow hook mounts look tacky imho, especially when you live in a state where a front plate is required. Besides, you still own a 335

I disagree entirely, who the hell wants to put holes in their bumper.

No front plate FTW. (and my state requires one, F that noise).

I agree. If your car is a DD and you're never going to remove the front plate, you might as well just drill it. I did - the E90 is my DD and I can't be assed to deal with overzealous cops for stuff like this.

If you take the car to shows or something and drive it on the roads, that's a different story.

To each his own I guess. If your car is new and you have the choice, then by all means tackify the vehicle

But serioulsy, if its the norm, then its probably best to just get it done. It's whatever though, not really something you can get around when you are required by law to have the damn thing on the front somewhere.

This is also true, DD's look pretty foolish to me with the plate on your front left/right fender. Its not a freakin' race car

And shows, once again, are an entirely different story. Prob would even look better with the hooks since it'll look like those dudes who own Lancer Evolutions

The front plate ruins the front of any car. So I just rock out with out it and have my fingers crossed.

Same here. Front plates are relatively loosely enforced in IL anyway.

Wow, I never heard of a tow hook mount being described as "tacky" before. I got mine because one of the strongest design elements of the E92 is its "face", and I think by offsetting the plate you can get a better picture of what its supposed to look like without the rectangular pimple. I told my dealer no drill front bumper at least 4 times during the order process, and only on the pickup/prep day did they catch it just in time when I mentioned it again.

We are actually working on a better solution that will be center mounted and removable. It will install in the center channel and allow you to mount the plate above or in front of the center grill area with no exterior drill holes.

With center mount solutions I worry about airflow to the Radiator or IC, already weak links on our cars. Maybe a moot point but does anyone really know? I don't, tow hook mount if I need to for me!

I also bought my car new, and specifically told the dealer no front plate, and dont drill my bumper.

Thanks for the input, I actually like the look of the offset mount, I think it breaks up the front lines less, which surprises me cause the engineer mind in me generally must having everything symetric.

In MD it's a crap shoot on enforcement. I had a 2000 Viper & had a trooper fly across a median strip & 3 lanes of interstate traffic, causing cars to swerve all over the place, to pull me over in the slow lane & verbally club me over not having a plate & threatened he'd be tagging me everytime & he works that area, etc. Since then, and 2 Vipers later, I've never been stopped, but in my exp I've been bullied too many times by cops not from doing anything wrong, but from being on a sportbike, or loud mustang, or whatever, I don't want to give any excuses for it, especially for my good weather daily driver. (for the viper, they can ticket me monthly & I ain't drilling that baby) Oh & for the record, it's not that I don't like cops, actually I do & respect them, just that sometimes it seems they don't like me, for no reason.

Haha yeah that's a good thing then. That's what I was referring to when you get a new car. A CPO or used you just get what's there and you love it for what it is, which is usually all you could ask for.

You had a Viper? MAN I wanted one of those things for the LONGEST, especially when I was a kid

Well you're in a Viper man, they're bound to stop you for that alone Even I can say I wouldn't ever drill that thing. Cars like those are in a different category of style. Just pure OUTLANDISH. I love it

has anyone mounted their plate behind the front grill at all? So that the numbers are still visible, but not quite as noticable?
