What's the difference?

325i vs 330i

Today I dropped off my 325i for service, and the dealership provided a 330i as a loaner. They both have the identical motor, right?

But this 330i is very quick, and it's an automatic vs. my manual.

If they are both the same 3.0 motor, then what gives the 330 more horsepower, and how can I increase the hp to my 325?

Different engine management system (not just ECU), different intake system, if you do a search, I believe this topic has been discussed before on this forum.
