Lemon or bad luck?

I've had the "engine failure. reduced power" error message on my 2008 E92 335xi intermittently for the past 4 months or so.

I've brought it in 3 times already:

1st time: couldn't find any problems
2nd time: told that some engine cap was loose, which they said they fixed
3rd time: told that something wrong with the injectors which they fixed.

I'm still having the same problem and will taking it in again to be serviced on Monday.

Do I just have bad luck or is my car a lemon? I am very frustrated. Do I have any other options at this point? Do people ever get a new car out of BMW if the same problem persists?

It's possible but i'm no mechanic,

however BMW used a plastic connector as the piece that connects the engine to the radiator or something like that, and it cracked and my engine overheated. I'd check for something with the cooling systems. If they're not finding any fault codes on the car's computer, then I wouldn't put it past the cooling systems. Your BMW engine is a pretty smart thing.

Hopefully they find what's wrong, maybe you too, are affected by the HFPF

I forgot what it stands for but it's pretty common with 335i's.
