BMW 3 Series Wins Polk Automotive Loyalty Awards

Quote:
The BMW Series was a winner in the R. L. Polk & Co.’s Automotive Loyalty Awards for the 2009 model year. The 3 Series took top honors in the Luxury Car category. The Polk Automotive Loyalty Awards recognize manufacturers for superior owner loyalty performance. Loyalty is determined when a household that owns a new vehicle returns to market and is so pleased with their vehicle that they purchase or lease another new vehicle of the same model or make.

“We are very pleased to receive this recognition,” said Jack Pitney, Vice President – Marketing, BMW of North America. “BMW owners are very enthusiastic and we have no more enthusiastic owners than those driving a 3 Series, so keeping them in the family means a great deal to us.”

"Winning the Polk Automotive Loyalty Award proves BMW’s commitment to loyalty and understanding customer needs at the highest level," said Stephen Polk, chairman, president and CEO of R. L. Polk & Co. “We congratulate BMW on winning the Loyalty Award in the Luxury Car segment.”

Now in its fifth generation, the 2010 BMW 3 Series offers a full range of models which include Sedans, Sports Wagons, Coupes and Convertibles. Most are available with a choice of rear-wheel drive or BMW’s xDrive all-wheel drive. There are three different engines available, including BMW’s Advanced Diesel in the 335d Sedan which achieves 36 mpg on the highway.

Well, this isn't correct, is it? Even for the NA market:

"There are three different engines available, including BMW’s Advanced Diesel in the 335d Sedan which achieves 36 mpg on the highway."

By my count, there are four engines available for the 3-Series in NA. Unless they purposefully cleave off the M3 as another car category altogether.

They do. On their website the M3 is not under 3, it is under M.

Not too surprised. I mean, how many car manufacturers out there can have owners say...."I'm going to buy another or my first 335 DESPITE KNOWN mechanical issues that can literally leave you stranded."

If BMW is so happy with us, give us a smaller 3, cheaper price, NA power for M cars, and better reliability!!! Oh, and better service would be nice. BMW Customer Service = Garbage.

It's the other way around. It's not saying BMW is happy with us, but that owners are happy with BMW. Not surprised they are getting this accolade. BMW owner for life

God that's scary because I often times find myself feeling guilty when I think about changing the 3 out for a C63 or CTS-V...

I love you E92?
