What happens at the VPC?
know the name of the facility itself somewhat implies the answer, but what typically happens to a new BMW once it reaches the VPC? How long does it usually remain there before it is shipped to the dealer? Thank you in advance for any information.

they do smokey burnouts for 3-4 miles and then process your car to be put onto a truck to be shipped to your dealer.
if the car needs any software updates or accessories installed they are often taken care of at the VPC adn then shipped.

If it's a Military Sales vehicle (like mine was), allow 3-4 weeks to clear Customs and USDA.

"All vehicles must be cleared by U.S. Customs and the Department of Agriculture before they are taken to the Vehicle Distribution Center for final processing" (might be checking for apple strudel crumbs under the rear seats)

also euro delivery cars; basically any car that is NOT fresh from the factory. cars from the factory clear customs and USDA while the ship is coming into the port.
