I appreciate my car even more now...Camry rental + Norcal Roads = Fail :)

My friends and I went out to SF/Napa/Sonoma for the weekend. A couple of them are wine counisours (sp), myself...I dont drink for the time being, and hate wine but needed a get away. I wound up being the rental driver for the weekend. Well, I LOVE the back country roads, thats a huge plus, but man, I tell ya, I missed my 335i soooooo bad. Would have been much MUCH more fun to take the twisties in it rather then the Camry...although it had decent pop (nothing compared to a BMW though) it handled like crap, haha.

Makes me appreciate the ultimate driving machine that much more though.

I had a black camry loaner for 3 days when my 335i was getting repaired. It was smoother than my car, quieter than my car, no rattles like my car, I got 33mpg. and I wasn't paranoid about where I parked it or who rode in it. That being said, I love my car.

Smoother in ride, perhaps yes. I dont have RFT's on (winter tires) and its pretty dang good. Quieter, not even close compared the one I had. It was noooooiiissssyyyy. The MPG seem about right though, lol. Although, Ill take the ~25 I get on my car mixed ANY day with power delivery and sporty handling.

It took me no more then 5 minutes of driving to fully wish I had drove the car out there, haha.

It wasnt a terrible rental, much better then we could have had, haha.

What I missed dearly too was my 6mt....the "sports mode" if you want to call it that on this thing was PATHETIC, haha. I guess too I have been having remorse here in CO since we have had quite a bit of snow this winter on the northern front range, Loveland/Fort Collins areas (about double what Denver has received) and just havent taken the car out as much. I put more miles on that rental in 4 days then I have on the 335i in over a month!
