Radar Detector or Powerbox
Im having a hard time deciding to get a radar detector or the powerbox for my 330i.
I have the funds for both but cant justify spending all that money right now. speed or speed protection? Hmmm |

Well if you get a powerbox you'll never a radar... but if you get a radar you wont neeed a powerbox.
So I say V1 |

Depends on your situation...If you drive in an area that is frequently monitored by cops then I would get a radar but if there are very few then I would get the powerbox. It really comes down to what you want the most/need.

V1. I see that you're in SD. I was driving to UCSD from the SD airport when my radar detector alerted Ka 34.7. I have a xtr-695 so the V1 would have definitely been better since it has arrows. I was going speed limit and looking for the cop. Turns out he was right behind me...tailgating me the whole time -_-x. I think he saw my radar detector's screen since it glows red. So he turned off his radar for like 5 seconds to try and trick me to speeding up. Didn't fall for it so he turned it back on, changed lanes and sped off to find another person to catch.
Also V1 will save you from a 400 dollar ticket which later you can use that for something else. |

I have my radar detector for 12 months. Honestly, I am not even sure that it saved my butt once although I drive rarely under the limits. Last September, I was given a speed fine on an highway; the cop triggered the radar at last second.... I read that it is now their standard protocol.
