I am really worried about my car =(
Today, when i left class to go home from school, i got in my car and all of a sudden thousands of warning lights came on including the brake, TPMS, DTC, and a bunch of other things, and i'm thinking hmm that's weird. When i went to drive it, i noticed that the car is making funny noises and is driving really roughly, and the steering wheel won't stay straight when the car is straight! I stop the car and go outside and check to see what is the problem, and my right rear tire is not sitting on the car straight and there is it has a huge rash in it. I have no idea how this happened, and BMW is now on its way with a tow truck to take it to the dealership
I spoke to the SA, and they said that there may be possible suspension damage, but they will have to look at it sometime tomorrow. Will BMW cover this, or my insurance, because my SA said that this kind of work could cost over $3k. Any tips or ideas guys? Thanks in advance |

im not sure what you mean by "rear tire not sitting on the car straight"...like you hit something and bent the control arm causing the wheel/tire to point at a funny angle? or the tire itself is pointing funny due to a messed up rim...?

What the hell happened? You didn't hit anything???
Did you have any work done recently? Maybe tire replacement or something where they only hand tightened the studs? This is awfully strange to happen for NO reason at all.

No kidding it is strange as hell, i was parked on an angle in a parking garage, so maybe the person to the right of me hit the car or something? I have no idea and i'm going nuts over it, and no i haven't had any tire work done recently to the car.

That's certainly a possibility but it's amazing that they could only hit the wheel and not any body work. I mean, you probably could do that if you were trying, let along by accident. Best of luck man... keep us updated.

Or as was mentioned, the wheel wasn't on tightly. If it became loose while driving it could do some serious damage to the suspension. But surely you would have felt something.

If the OP 'fesses up (he won't because then he'll have to tell papa) then we'll find out that he hit something - probably a curb. The OP claims that the car was fine when he parked it in a parking garage and got all sorts of lights and a wobbly suspension when he started the car and before he began driving. It is virtually impossible for someone to hit his car hard enough to damage suspension components in a parking garage and not have any body damage. |

Maybe the control arms are damaged.

Reminds me of when I was 13 and we took my friends moms car for a joyride. fucked up the suspension and shredded one of the tires. Then we just parked it back in the driveway and blamed the slashed tire on "vandals".
Does anyone have access to a spare key? |
