I have 35% on my titanium silver and it's perfect for me. Not too light and not too dark. Haven't gotten pulled over yet (knock on wood). I also have black int which supposedly makes it look darker from what I heard? Don't know if that's true or not.

I just tinted mine yesterday.
I went with 20s all around. Passed by a couple cops today, so far so good.
Also depends on your interior. The lighter it is, the darker you should go.

35%'s looks clean and gives you a nice fade shadow when suns out so cops dont bust with you much.

That is pretty true. Since it's mostly sunny down here I don't have too much of a problem. Only at night maybe but in the day I am pretty safe.

35% is decent, but personally I think a shade lighter (perhaps 50%) is much classier looking. They don't need to be very dark to be effective.

In VA the law is 50 front 35 back. Does anyone know what the rear side windows are on an E92? I would like to factory match the front windows, my guess is that the rears are 35 or 40. I think I can go as low as 40 without much trouble, 10% difference isn't too bad.

Go as dark as possible for whatever is legal in your state, save yourself the trouble of getting a ticket then venting how 5-O sucks.

Had 35% on my Jetta which was purchased in MO ... Always thought it was a tad light. My Montego Blue 328 has 27% (CO limit) all around ... I like it. I don't think they are as rabid about tint tickets in CO as other places. Seems they'd rather play with the laser guns.

Slightly off topic, but I found out tonight that the rear sunshade is great for those idiots who like to tailgate you when you're radar detector is going nuts. Lucky for him I was at the limit when met mr. tax man.
