Rear bumper protection / guard
Are there recommendations on something to put on the outside to protect your rear bumper when car is parallel parked? If so, advice on the best place to buy one?

I lived in the city for 4 years and I can say, that every time I saw one of these on another car I felt it was an excuse to bump the car while parking. I mean I'm a better parker than that and never hit another car but I could see the countless idiots out there doing it. Why advertise "hey it's okay to bump me", I rather scare them into thinking that it will cost them way to much money if they bump your car, that or just pay the extra $$$ and park in a garage like I did! =)

I was thinking about getting one of those things too. I go into NYC alot and always fret about getting scratched. I decided just to let it go and not worry as much. I've had my car for almost a year now and didn't get a scratch on it bc I decided to park more smartly. I look for spots at the end of blocks or right in front of hydrants.
Unfortunately, my strategy backfired when some bonehead rear ended me on one of those snowy days. |
