Hit an run
Came home from a 13 hour day at my stressful job. Go in my house and no one in my family would talk to me. Finally my pops says "i need to talk to you"... i thought a family member died i was like oh damn. He says "some on hit your car and didnt leave a note." I was devestated to say the least.. I went out front to take a look, It looks like someone came in hot like a mailtruck and swiped the front right bumper. No dents only scratches but it is still devestating. I baby the car, like im sure all the rest of the people here do. I have it strictly as a hobby/pleasure car. I do not drive it for anything but pleasure. It is 6 months old and has 2k miles on it. No scratches and looks shiny all the time. It stays in front of my house until friday night. How dumb do you have to be to hit a parked car, my block is wide and ther was no reason for anyone to pull in in fron of my car.. And then to not leave a note?!! Damn this is really getting to me i just want to find the person and do work. Il post pics tonight..

I'm sorry to hear this but it's a car and they are subject to the environment around them. Once you get it buffed and painted it will look as good as new.

conisder this, your blessed. For that to happen and no dents? your one lucky man. consider this a good thing, it could have been a million times worse.

Yea its just im paying for a wedding and buying a house in August and i really cant afford to throw cash out the window at this point...otherwise i would just count my blessings because the damage is minor. I just cant understand how some one can hit the car my street is straight its like some one did it on purpose. My driveway is infront of my car so no one parks near my car and the street is wide.
Anyway, to repaint the fender, anyone have any prior experiences and can share thier quote? Thanks |

Damn, I know the feeling, I came home from school one day like that in high school, I too thought someone died but it was just a dent in my hood. It'll look good as new when you get it fixed.

A buddy of mine had his car totalled by a drunk driver who went pinballing on his street. The car was only something like 49% damaged, so they wouldn't total loss it - so they REPAIRED it.
A few months later, on the same street, a tree fell on his car. And recently, someone busted his window and broke into it. His car is almost brand new! Lives at the dealer, pretty much. :P So ... I'd say count your blessings, even though this probably doesn't make you feel any better

Well the front of the house is usually safe this is the first time we had an issue, we have a double driveway so my car gets the street, I dont really complain about it bc i assumed people would drive straight and not into my car lol. Picture this my block is a quater mile long and and i sit right in the middle nobody turns anywhere near my car. It had to be a blind person who thought they lived in my house and tried to pull in the drive way. idk... |

I'm sorry to hear that. Maybe when you post the pics, we can see how much damage was done to it. Hopefully it just needs paint and not replacing anything?

I got out of my E90 and didn't have the ebreak up far enough (it's out of adjustment) and my car started to roll down the driveway near the street. I leaped back in to stop it but slammed my knee into to back door (where there is now a nice dent). Sorry man...

If you have an x5, a 535 and an E92 you are doing well for youself and although i understand the frustration ( i would feel the same ) a few hundred $ to buff up your bumper isnt too bad. What im trying to say is there is no point stressing yourself out, there is nothing you can do now - get the car fixed and start to enjoy it again.

They're his families cars, so obviously he still lives at home......and his car gets street duty. My parents would make me do the same if I still lived home.
