I got a 2007 335 Cabrio & smilin
So this past Saturday I got my 335 convertible, paid $37K, 15K mis on it, every option & a 6MT. I'm lovin it. I'm loving the iDrive system, and the comfort access is spoiling me after just a couple of days. I go up to my 330CiC and can't figure out how to get in .. oh I need to use the FOB & key, that's so last week.
Anyway, I've been posting a little & searching a lot, finally got the car and happy to be here, great forum. And I know ... It's been wicked cold & more snow coming so no pics yet, but I'm shopping wheels & trinkets so I'll get some shots up soon, Burr. Dave. |

Seems like a lot of folks are getting the E93 lately!
Welcome, sucks to get the cabrio when it's cold out doesn't it, lol! Color, and interior combo?

Why does the OP need to spend $$$ on SmartTop when he has CA. CA does the same thing (except maybe open your top when driving or something like that)?

SmartTop does a LOT more. Folds the mirrors automatically when exiting the car. Makes the top operations one touch as opposed to push and hold. Makes all of the windows one touch up and down. Allows you to invert the top switch which is good if you have a pre LCI car. As well as allowing you to operate the top from a distance of more than 3-5 feet. Allows you to open the door and get in or out of the car while the top is operating. As well as the mentioned top operation while moving which can be a god send in a sudden down pour. GREAT product !! Worth its weight in gold in my opinion. Best mod ever done and can't see why it would not come from the factory this way !!! OH YEAH and it makes the CA MUCH easier to use as a one touch button instead that clunky remote operation that does not operate easily. OH and top of that you can put the windows up or down with the remote without opening the top which you can not do without it. And I guess the list just keeps going....

This ain't no VW, man...we don't call that a cabrio around here, we call it a vert!
And I do believe that interior is Saddle Brown, as mentioned above.

It is undectectable by BMW but if found might cause warranty issues. BUT I am not really sure what in the world it would do that might even cause a warranty issue. Mods4Cars.com is the site. Easy install and I am not a big DIYer. USB updates available for free.

I really like that fact that I can be walking up to the car and hit the remote from like 30 feet away and the top starts when I get to the car if it is not done and can open the door and get in and if it is still not done I can start it, put it in drive and leave. Standing around waiting for 22 seconds is not bad until you have to stand there and look at it while it is working.... Like watch a pot boil ...
