Newbie here

Hello all

Just joining the board to learn more about the 335i Coupes and potential modifications. My current rides are in my signature and the plan is to trade in the Mazda for a CPO 335i Coupe.

Hoping I can gain some insight on the attainable performance gains from everyone here. The coupe will be my DD so thinking an intake and nice tune would be best for me.

Test drove an 09 yesterday and really loved the feel.

See you all around.

welcome to the board! happy searching!

as far as mods to get performance, the intake is the LEAST benificial mod to do. since the airbox is right next to the engine block, an intake will just suck hot air, get a drop in performance filter

if you get the correct # of pedals, then do the CDV mod it is a must

for performance, your biggest gains are going to come from a tune such as Vishnu or Jb3, from there you can move on to DDVs, FMIC, downpipes, and exhaust

I'll def use the search key before asking the 1millionth same question.

Thanks for the heads up on the intake though. That makes sense and I'll take that advice.

As for pedal count, I'm looking for an auto with steptronic (think its called this). Reason being is the vette has the right amount of pedals for when I really want to have fun. The paddles seemed pretty solid during my test drive yesterday. I have to deal with Atlanta traffic daily so I've learned to have a DD in auto. That's just me though.
