New Pump Failure?!
I had all the normal signs of a HPFP falure. Long revs, intermittin 1/2 engine warning, SES light. Anyhow, took my car in monday, they claimed that it couldnt be the fuel pump as i already have the 'updated' pump. (the prior owner apperently had the original fail already). They decide that its the ECU, they reinstall the entire software package on the car.
I picked it up today... SAME PROBLEMS (without the warning lights). Either the 'Updated' pump isnt all that improved or something else is broken. FIX MY CAR BMW, i just wanna drive it! ok, so that was more of a rant then a constructive question... sorry just had to get it out. |

That's weird they aren't giving out new ones in all cases. Probably being cheap and going through the ones they had already before using the new ones.
