I was going to my college half bumper to bumper traffic and half 40-60mph. i was doing 60mph and suddenly i get a half engine light and loose power. it seemed as if my turbos stopped working. im not sure if this is limp mode or not. i was still able to accelerate to 60 mph and make it to school.

(already running late) i turned off the car put the key back in and held the petal for 4 seconds to set the jb3 to map 0. i started the car and the light was not there... i didnt drive the car becasue i was 15 minutes late to class...

i dont have a BT tool! what should i do!! i will update after i drive it again after class.

i am under warrantee and its a 07 335i coupe jb3 Map5 mods in sig

is the BT tool the only tool that can scan read and clear codes? can the unites most mechanics have do the job? such as snapon ect.

AFAIK ( beside BMW tools ) the Bavarian Technic solution is the only tool to clear our 335i codes properly, including shadow codes. They also maintain the software properly and release updates on a regular basis. The PROcede CANbus piggyback unit can clear codes as well.

Correct. The BT cable is your best bet. But the Peake tool or PLX/Kiwi WiFi can also read/clear codes as well.

You could bring it to the dealer, wouldn't advise that though if you like your warranty.
