Is this a good deal?
I am planning to buy a 07 328xi coupe and wanted your suggestion on the price......
A little about the car... Its a black coupe with Red leather interior and has built in navigation with Automatic transmission. Also has phone integration with BT. It does not have heated seats / heated sterring wheel. The car is one owner and looks like a brand new in and out ,not even a single scratch on the exterior. No accidents per Carfax. I was able to get the final price to 26,850. I was wondering If that is a good price. Love the way it looks. |

That price is way too high for a non-CPO car. The Galves trade-in value on it is only $21-22k.
As a comparison, I just bought a CPO'd Jet Black/Terra 2007 335i Sedan with 6-speed manual, ZSP-Sport Package, ZPP-Premium Package, ZCW-Cold Weather Package, Comfort Access, and 27,200 miles. I paid just under $27,800 + tax, tag, title and doc fees. I also got 0.9% financing from BMW for 48 months. You can do MUCH better than $26,850 on the car you’re looking at.

That's not that bad IMO. Coupes seem to hold their values better than the sedans. At 33k miles, you should still be able to get the extended warranty through BMW. You can also get the dealer to CPO it if it's really that big of a deal. Not a super awesome deal but not that bad either.
Options from what I can gather are Idrive, Sports, Premium, and Auto are pretty good. The options alone were like 7k new... |

The current wholesale value for a 2007 BMW 328Xi Coupe is:
$20,700 for the base vehicle @ 31,000 miles + $800 for Navigation (if equipped) + $700 for power front seats (if equipped) + $500 for Sport package (if equipped) - $325 for 33,000 miles. The sum of the base vehicle + options is the maximum amount the dealer gave on a trade-in. You can work up from there. He should be very happy to get 10% above what he has into the car, but he’ll be ecstatic to get $26,850! By the way, if the car has every option listed above, the wholesale value is $22,375. Multiply that figure by 1.20 (or 20%) and you get his asking price of… $26,850! In other words, the dealer is trying to make a 20% (or $4,475) profit off of you on a 3-year-old used car. Don’t let him!
