Snatching an M badge off a car and sticking it on crooked is one thing but to buy all those pieces is just dumbfounding. He/she have lost their freaking marbles. They tell people they have a C63 with a straight face.

I would not ride in that to the 7-11.

I wouldn't doubt that the person who did this actually believes he/she's driving a real C63...

This is my beef with the damn VW crowd. They take "OEM+" to a whole other level and think it's great and defend it to the death. So many goofs rocking Merc, Bentley, Porsche rims on their VW. Sad

I love clowns like this.

Why is it always the badges/grilles though? Why not the $10K wheels, or $35K engine? They even put the benz logo on their stock wheels. Wow buddy, nice AMG wheels there.

Or better yet how about starting with a base model C-CLass. They're not that expensive.....

I find it interesting and funny - also a little sad.

People buy fake David Yurman, Louis Vuitton, watches, shoes, sunglasses etc. and try to pass them off as real too. And I'm sure if those fakes weren't readily available, people would try to make their own like this guy.

If a car company could get away with making a BMW knock off, I'd bet that lots of people would buy them. Guess they're stuck trying to make their own for now!

They are trying to impress those who don't know much about VW or MB, but those people will not even know what C63 is...

The only people who knows what C63 is will know it's actually a VW.

so in any way, no one in this world but himself can be impressed at something like that

Remember Japanese were the same way back in the 50's and 60's. See where they are now. You learn by mimicking first, then once you gain confidence you groove to your own rhythm. Be fearful of the day Chinese get to that point because they can stomp over anyone and everyone. Just watch.
