Winter tires on yet?

I just had my Blizzak winter tires fitted after a few days of seeing the BMW snowflake. Thanks to STS on Hillside (thanks Vish!), I was in and out in 30 min.

I go from 19" to 17" for winter tires and, while the car does handle a bit differently, I have absolute confidence in its ability in snow and cold weather.

FYI, here is an article on Winter Driving Tips for those interested.

Yeah, I have my winters on already. It snowed, but no accumulation on the roads so far.

I definitely miss the handling of summer wheels/tires!! I can't wait until March to put them back on!

Now that's what I call efficient service. I went to Mr. Tire and was in and out in 2.5 hours.

Unfortunately, no winter tires

When it's cold here, we're forced to drive the SUV.

I went from 19s to 16s. Just imagining driving in my summer setup last week makes me cringe. I actually still couldn't make it up the final hill to my place (basically on the side of a mountain, first winter there), so I had to park and walk up. I just bought chains.

Put my 18" stock with Dunlop 3Ds on a couple weeks ago. Yeah I know I live in NC, but still want to be safe in the mountain passes! Wish they weren't so loud though

I've had the Blizzak WS 60s on for about ten days and it's one of the best winter cars I've ever driven. The combination of the incredible grip, the nearly instant on ceramic heater, heated seats and the residual heating , it really takes the hassle out of winter driving.

I know your pain even with my blizzaks, Sunday night I couldnt make it up the driveway and into the garage. Parked on the street that night.

I did mine 1 1/2 wks. ago, this time around they weren't stuck to the hubs. Doesn't anybody put their own snows on anymore? That's how my dad taught me, no AAA for us. LOL

We've had our earliest ever snowfall already but I don't plan to switch to winter tires!

Got my Dunlop 3Ds on a little over a week ago, before our first snowfall (4 inches) and was fine on the road, hopefully it'll be a mild winter here in MA

Got the 17" Blizzak LM-25's on the stock rims 1 day after the first icing here. The difference is noticeable (went with the 25's because they were cheaper than the new LM-60's). Had some snowfall in the past week. Nothing ridiculous but I drove confidently. Not looking forward to deeper snow, but not because of my tires...because I friggin hate snow.

New Hyde Park. The one in Queens is no longer open. If you go, tell Vish (the asst. mgr.) I sent you.
