Akebono Euro Ceramic Pads

Guys,

My OEM brake pads are generating more dust than a sandstorm, and its causing my wheels to have a "Gunmetal Anthracite" dust pad look.

Anyhow, I was just curious on the Akebono Euro Ceramic Pads from TireRack. I don't really track my car at all, as its more of a street machine with some occasional mountain twisties.

I just need a brake pad that dust much more less, and it somewhat comparable to stock, and that doesn't squeal/squeak at all.

Input on the Akebono or alternatives? I want to stay in a budget under $175 for a fullset.

Thanks.

The infamous Bimmer brake dust dilemma
This horse has been beaten to death on this and other forums
Do a search on this forum as well as Bimmerfest and Bimmerforums and you'll get many and varied opinions regarding brake pads
BMW installs Textar, Ate, and Jurid brake pads on their vehicles for a good reason: they stop the car in a smooth, linear fashion under normal operating conditions. Several aftermarket brake pad manufacturers like Axxis and Akebono claim less or no dusting. What they don't tell you is how well the pads stop the car

We ran Akebono's last winter; city, light use...no problem and no dusting.

i personally had great results with axxis deluxe/ultimates & akebonos over oem pads. better bite, less dust... just might not last as long as oem.
