Its 3 in the morning and I cant really sleep. So on to my question. I will be running 285/35/19 in my rear. Will I rub? The oem continentals tires rub when someone is in the back, and its the same stats. What should I do roll my fenders or purchase 275s.

Im looking to mount 285/35zr19 GOODYEAR EAGLE F1 SUPERCAR tires.

Lower profile? Roll Fenders?
Not a fan of low profile tires, I've had to switch out a out two sets in the last four months plus wheel repair.

Some input guys.

Buy smaller size tires. I have 275/30/19 in the back and I had to do a slight roll to eliminate rubbing with stock sport suspension and ET40. Just my $.02...

So I know for sure I will be mounting the 285/35/19 tires in the back. I also know that it will be rubbing. How can I eliminate this problem? I don't want to change the tires or move to a smaller profile. What do I do? Roll the fenders? Does the suspension have to be modified?

Roll fenders and negative chamber. I am not well versed in the latter, so any experienced members please chime in.

Im on 20" Vossens

20x9 fronts 245/30/20

20x10.5 rear on 285/25/20

lowered on eibach sportlines (2 inch drop)

And I rub. So I shaved my fenders and now I dont.

My advice to you is invest in a pneumatic die grinder and cut the inner lip out and then hit it with some rust proof paint. and call it a day

I have to check that out. I'm looking to do this within the next week or so. Your profile in the rear is 25 and you have a drop, would it equal out to my stock suspension and 35 profile? My car doesn't rub with the 285s unless I floor it, hit a bump, or have someone in the back.

you're not a fan of Lo Pro tires? what the hell are 285/35's??? And you will rub. ALOT. Roll or cut your fenders, get wheels that fit correctly, remove spacers. But more than anything else you will rub the fender liner and you will have to goto a lower porfile tire to keep within the OEM tire diameter.

This time around I wanted a little bit more profile just because I've damaged my rims, and ride quality seems to be smoother. Now that the rims are repaired and ready for tires I don't want rubberbands. I'm guessing if trying to fit 35s will take too much work I will just sell my tires and buy a lower profile.

the 285 is gunna rub also, depending on your offset. but the 285/30 is gunna be pretty tall also. almost 3/4 of an inch. i would just stick with the 275's if you can't adjust the rear wheel offset.

I am as low as I can go, and I only rub on dips or in the canyons, under normal driving i rarely rub, with people in the car i did rub though.

But the inside lip is gone now so mo more issues anywhere.

Your best bet is to cut the fender and run the car how you want, then you will never have to worry about fitment issues down the road.

keep the spacers, flush is sexy
