Can you change 19"s with regular car jack one by one?

I have 19's aftermarket rims on and was wondering if i can use the regular car jack OEM ones and put my 17's winters on?

Would the stock OEM car jack raise it high enough?
Would it mess up my car?

Is it better to just go to a shop and pay $20 and get them changed?
Only thing that sucks is i need to fit all 4 wheels in my coupe if i choose to do that.

Or can i get a nice car jack for less than $100 and do that instead?

it's easy to do it yourself. it just takes a little longer. if you have a stock jack, i'm not sure if it will lift the car high enough. remember that the oem jacks are for emergencies only and i think they'll get worn really quick. buy a good shop jack from Sears, Harbor Freight. Costco, etc...should be easy to get one for under $100.00.

The OEM jacks that come with these cars are fine for emergency but if you have the budget, invest in a nice set of jack stands and a floor jack. The jack stands would be set underneath the car in case the floor jack gave out for safety. A proper and quality floor jack will last you years and is an investment in your safety, I see no reason to compromise.

get a floor jack and ull be good to go.
you COULD do it with a stock car jack but you'll want to kill yourself! a floor jack with cut the time down HUGE!

You should be fine changing your tires with the emergency jack. Just don't try going under the car! Might fall :z

Umm what OEM Jack???? RFT=no spare, no jack. OEM Style jacks or bottle jacks are a PIA compared to a quality floor jack.

You should get a nice floor jack, a set of good jack stands and use that. I have two aluminum ones from Harbor Freight.

You'll use them for years, so they are a good investment.

With this setup, you can swap wheels in about 20-30 minutes.

Well, as E30M3Driver very correctly pointed out, what jack?!?!

Also - I'm perplexed why no one said it, but what difference do 19's make? Unless you bought wheels that don't fit, the overall wheel+tire height combo should be almost exactly the same whether you have 17's 18's 19's.....

Get a floor jack and either get one of those adapters for the jack points or improvise with wood, hockey puck, etc.

the diameter on the 19's is close to the diameter of your 17's with tires, so there will be no problem at all

I know, I know...where's the jack stands? But yeah it's no big deal with a low profile floor jack. Glad to hear you're all set!
