Need help: Set the doors to automatically lock.

Need help: Set the doors to automatically lock.

I have two key fobs for my 2007 328i. When I use one of them, the doors automatically lock when I get into the car and put it into gear. When I use the other key fob, it doesn't. I assume this is just configuration that can be set. Does anyone know how this is enabled/disabled?

I believe this has to be programmed for each key.
Pop the key that does not automatically lock the doors in, and use the signal stalk to program this setting. Check your owners manual for exact details.

As said above it needs to be activated for each key

If you have Idrive you can do it on there
If you dont have Idrive you do it through the menu on the instrument cluster

Procedure is listed in your owners manual

Its set for the key that is in the slot when you select the function active

See KL2DC's info from the owners manual I had the same problem. After I read the owners manual, I programmed the keyfob and was good to go
