OEM wheels has lots of stampings on the back of the spokes, and one of them should be 'BMW'.
Here's a pics of the back of the spokes of my OEM 17" 194M wheel. I assume it's similar on the OEM 199 wheel.

thanks Remmib.

I have the BMW stamping and a few other stampings, but definatly not as many stampings as you have there in the pic. Maybe only half as many.

i dont see 'germany' either.

should i conclude these are oem wheels and not reps?

reason im asking is, I want to put snow tires on my current 162's. then use the 19" for summer. however, if the 19's arent oem, and I dont know which manufacturer made them, wondering how reliable?

thanks

The best way is probably to weigh them. Since OEM wheels are over-engineered for safety.. they are probably heavier than reps.

I just weighed the rim + the tire (19" Pirelli Pzero Rosso) on a home scale. It came out to ~50LBS/ 23KG.

Is this heavy or light compared to reps? or just about right.

I have looked a it again, I do have quite a few stampings acutally, 9 in total.

I have one that says 'Poland' instead of Germany. this verifies anything?

There is also a stamping 'R0NAL' this stand for anything? The other stamping are all numbers.

I think Ronal makes OEM wheels for BMW so I'm pretty sure those are OEM wheels.

What is the width of the wheel you weighed? And what is the specs of the tire on that wheel?

225/35/19 is the OEM size, but 235/35/19 will fit on the OEM wheels too.
