Does anyone know if the player plays DVD Audio and or SACD?

Also I take it, it plays MP3...

No DVD-A or SACD. It does play MP3s from a CD or DVD and from an iPod or USB flash drive if you have the iPod integration option.

According to the OEM specs, the CIC iDrive plays DVD-A:
