Question 2010 330i - 17" 225/45 recommended pressure help!

Hi guys need some help here,

I have my cars for nearly 5,000 miles now. I have a 330i with a 225/45/17R all around.

My door sticker says 2.4 bar for the front (34 psi) and 2.9 bar for the rear (42 psi)

I am afraid to go over 40 psi as i drive fast on the highway here frequently.

I also don't wanna go too low as Egypt is the land of potholes and I don't want to get any sidewall bubbles!

Can anyone help please?

If your door sticker recommends 34/42 then I don't see a reason why you shouldn't follow that, unless maybe you have aftermarket wheels. PSI only one of many reasons for sidewall bubble problems.

But isn't 42 psi a bit too much? I do have oem wheels but as a single runflat tire runs around 500 bucks here in egypt! I don't wanna ruin them. If someone can post their oem 330 17 inch recommended pressure that would be great!

You should use the recommended pressures, which depend on what speed you drive.

The owner's manual recommends higher pressures for high speeds. If you drive at high speeds for prolonged periods, you should use BMW's high speed recommendations. If you drive at high speeds frequently but only for short bursts, you could use something in between the normal and high speed recommendation. If not, you should use their normal recommendation or a few pounds higher.

Check the sidewalls of your tires for the maximum recommended pressure. BMW's recommendations are always below the maximum.

nice i wish my 328 E92 was 272hp...i would never want the hpfp 335 (although i might reach 272 bhp if i put headers and straight pipes )
