help: Buying previously stretched tires
This may be a stupid question but will I encounter any problems if I buy a set of used tires that were stretched on the last vehicle? I am looking at buying a set of 265/30/19s to fit my 19x9.5 rears. The previous owner had them on 19x10s. I just wonder if the stretch affected the tire in any way???

I ask the questions you're afraid to ask.

It depends. If both wheel widths are well within the recommended limits of the tire (find your tire on Tirerack and look at "specs" tab) then you should be OK.

it will be fine, 265's on a 10 is not a drastic stretch at all. most wouldnt even consider it a stretch. there is nothing about stretching a tire that harms it in anyway unless it was run with low pressure and began to break down like any other tire
