Recommend me tires (all season runflats)

Hey everyone,

It isn't cold enough here for snows, I drive alot, and I usually put stuff in my trunk, so a spare isn't an option. I think the ideal tires would be a set of all season runflats, I can get a set of sticky, fun tires when summer rolls around again.

To make things harder, I'd like them in a 225/45/17 size, which is actually much harder to do than it would seem. I really wanted pilot sport plus A/S's, but it appears that they don't make them in that size. Anything comparable?

Suggestions for Runflat All Seasons please?

Contis are much better than Brickstones. I just put a fresh set on today, but they're 205/55/16. The last set got me over 30K and I still had some left on the rears, but didn't want to risk the snowy roads over Christmas.

All season run flat tires are pretty limited in 225/45R17. The best of the available tires is the Conti Pro Contact SSR.

After looking at the tire rack website, I see there's three tire models available, what are your thoughts on the Pirelli PZero Nero All Season RFT?

This is a new, yet to be released tire that is replacing the old Nero M+S RFT. We are hoping to see them early spring, but do not yet have a firm ETA.

I switched from the Bridgestones to Continentals early on and the Continentals lasted about 40,000 miles. They were MUCH better than the Bridgestones.

Last week I got a flat and took the opportunity to change to non-runflats. Stayed with Contis but got the DWSs this time. Ride quality is much improved and now the car rides as it should have when new.

I'd love to get rid of the run flats, but I carry a lot of stuff in my car on a regular basis, and I can't really spare the trunk space for the spare, and getting stuck somewhere in the middle of nowhere in eastern North Carolina with a flat sounds shitty too. Runflats seem like my only real choice.

1. 330i cars never used 255/40R18 as stock either front or rear.
2. The original poster has 17" wheels, so this would be of no help to him even if it were true.

I'm showing current pricing in 225/45R17 at $160 per tire, but currently on backorder for 60-90+ days. It is better in dry grip and steering response compared to the Conti Pro Contact SSR, but makes a bit more tread noise.

I am trying to look online for allseasons for my 07' 328i sport

My dealer told me to look for RFT, it is ridiculously impossible.

I need Front: 225/45/17

Rear: 255/40/17

I can find the Front online, but not the rear. A tire dealership said the rears would be about 450 each and had to have them shipped from oregon

that is 450CAD

Its all good man, I got tires already in november, I ended up with non-runflat Pilot Sport A/S+ tires, and I just got a spare to put in my trunk...I think the better ride and cheaper tires are worth the trouble.

Hi gary, im aa little confused abouth the difference between all season, summer and winter tires, i live in colombia, south america, and here we only have sun and rain, so wich tire do you recommend me on RFT for a 2006 330I E90 with 225/45-17??

Winter tires maximize traction in sub freezing temperatures. Summer tires are meant for maximum wet and dry grip in warmer climates. All season tires are a compromise. While not exceptional in any particular condition, they can get you through most conditions.
