Directional Spare Question asap?

Hey guys, I have a quick question before I head out.

I have a set of non run flat Generals on right now. I thru in a spare tire thats my winter set up in the trunk.

Both are directional,,, what happens if Im forced to use the spare in the direction oppisite of the tire rotation?

Will the tire fall apart.

This just kinda struck me last night as I was loading the tire and Harbor freight Al. jack in the trunk.

I know this should be in tire section, but I need a fast response. This section has alot more people in it.

thanks a ton.

The tire won't fall apart. Your traction, treadwear, and road noise won't be as good, but it's just temporary, right? I'll move this to the wheel & tire section. It gets decent traffic, and I think this is as good a quick answer as you'll get. Someone who is more expert on that section can probably give a better answer, anyway.

thanks BK,, sorry to waste ur time,, but i understand.

Yea its about 800 miles round trip,, but then its a huge chance that I do get a flat,, then 50% again if its not the same dircetional.

But its somthing that might not have been asked before.

I will say run flats on a car is a joke,, 50 miles until u need to address it again,, come on,, what r the chances ur going to be within 100 miles of any kinda of service shop anyways.

Im all for a spare/tire kit in cars.

One full size tire in your trunk with jack,,, whats the point of saving space with having no spare in the first place? trunk is about full now.

Happy turkey everyone!

BK answered your question correctly. There really isn't any more to say.
