Iphone 3GS phone book sync

Hi all,

I am pretty sure this has been discussed before but I have just spent the last 1/2 hour searching and can't find it

I have just got an iphone 3GS and paired it up with the car last night no problems. My 'problem' is that the phonebook, after being transferred via Blueteeth once the car is started, is displaying as LAST NAME, FIRST NAME.

Is there any way to have the display show as FIRST NAME, LAST NAME. I have the iphone set to display in this way so not sure where it is getting swapped around?

Also there is much discussion on the US boards about the contacts address details being able to be accessed in the nav so the addresses could be used. A member on there says with the latest iphone (series 3 software) and his 5 series with latest i-drive accesses all the addresses in his phone contacts. Wondered if anybody had this working in their 3 series? I am guessing it will only work with the latest HD based i-drives. I will go and try in the car as soon as I get some spare time!!!!!

Already done this, as I said the phone is correct. In Settings-Contacts-Sort Order/Display Order, both are set to First, Last.

All the contacts seem to be showing but I only paired it last night on the way home. I spent a lot of time last night sorting all my contacts out on ical & itunes, so the first & last names were correct and that companies were tagged as such. Was kind of hoping the car would show them all correctly this morning on my way to work

It's not the hard drive version, so I guess it's the older version to yours

Yeah, about the 50quid mark - the phone sits in it nicely but really only charges it as I believe it still connects to the car via bluetooth, even in the cradle.

Thanks,

It's an expensive charger then.

Yeah, I'd agree - the phone clip in is expensive for what it is.
