help me understand this

i see gazillion companies popping out of Florida and CA (forged wheels).
It's a good thing I suppose, however so many of the designs look copy of other wheels. What is the deal with copyright on these? I mean there are some rims pretty much replica of other more known brands and practically looks knock off. Don't get me wrong. I just need to understand the reasoning.

I mean for all i know. i might as well jump in the bandwagon.

please advise. I do have some good designs in mind and need to know if I can take it to the next level.

Very easy to understand. Alot of wanna be millionaires without any real skill. So they just contract out a trendy logo and then recycle the same wheel designs. The people are usually from the same part of the globe as well. It's a shame but my money has always gone to the real producers of quality and innovation and I let those idiots keep thinking they can make millions doing nothing.

When it comes to copyright law, aftermarket wheels are pretty much the wild west. With that said, I wouldn't completely "say no" to replicas. For example, many of the CSL replicas sold by vendors on this forum are high quality. Further, replica wheels often come in offsets and finishes that aren't offered by the original manufacturer.
