Stock 193Ms for Winter + Advan RS for summer?
Ok I've been doing way too much research now and my brain is mush.
Been thinking of doing either of the following: -Rial Salerno 17" + Dunlop SP or Blizzak winter tires for the ~3 month winters. -Use my 193M stock wheels for rest of year. -Then in future, buy forged rims like Advan/Volk to lighten wheel weight. OR -193M stock wheels, buy winter tires for the ~3 month winters. -Forged rims like Advan for rest of year (deciding on 18s or 19s) A bit about the car: Black Sapphire 2010 335i Xdrive with M sport package. Location is Vancouver, BC, so our winters aren't normally that bad (mostly rain, a bit of snow/slush). Upside to 1st option: I don't mess up the 193Ms during winter; downside is more $$ on wheels and tires, and more storage of wheels in my garage. Upsides to the 2nd option: saving lots of money on wheels and tires and less storage space for wheels in garage; downside is using the 193Ms for winter + they're 18" and staggered setup which may pose problems (again, I'm not sure the winters here in Vancouver get that bad). What would you do? Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Maybe I'll make a poll about this later, but what wheels do you think look better on a black e90 - volk rays or advans? Thanks, m |
