Michelin PS2's - I'm impressed!
Just replaced the OEM Bridgestone's, after 26K miles, with Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 ZP's.
What a difference in ride over the crappy Bridgestone's. I have done some "spirited driving" (but not WOT yet) and cannot detect any difference in traction/handling. Wish I would have done this earlier, just to enjoy the better, less jarring ride. And also expect that I may get better tire wear since the wear rating is about 60% higher than the Bridgestone's. |

Great to hear. I will be ditching my RFT forever once my winter tire package arrives today!

I'm considering switching to the PS2 RFTs next summer, as my summer tires are getting a bit worn. Aren't these the stock tires now for the current model 3er?

I also went form the Bridgestone RFTs to the Michelin RFT's. Night and day difference. I can not believe for the life of me that BMW went with the Bridgestone's in the first place. Terrible ride, terrible wear, and no traction.

- in general much less road noise, normal for any new tire, but expect this to be true after 300-400 mile break in due to current magnitude of difference - since much softer over ruts/potholes/bumps, this also has an effect |

PS2 RFT's are Much better. My 2007 335 came with the Bridgestone's and after 20K miles, I changed them out to BFG - non runflat tires and the difference is night and day. At 42K miles, I switched back to Bridgestone RFT's because I was returning my car (end of lease). My new 09 335 LCI comes with PS2 RFT's and they feel VERY VERY similar to a non run flat tire so they did a great job with them. I did the European delivery and here's me trying to keep up with a F430 on the back side of the Stelvio Pass with these tires. My car is at the Preparation center in Oxnard right now and I should get a call from my SA some time next week |
