my friend just purchased a jb3 , and from what I've seen jb3 335's beat e55's and new body m3's and all that , but we've raced my boys e46 m3 with exhaust , We beat him from 1st gear roll by liek 80 mph by liek 2 cars , and from a 60 mph roll up to 120 by like 4 cars, but that's a e46 and a 6 speed , I'm not sure if I'm getting all the power , or is my car running properly ? Im running map 5 , and btw tried xylene aswell didn't feel like it worked at all

Try map 3, without any supporting mods it may be a little much to run map 5. You should get a BT cable and data log. Or an intake. Thats my take on it at least.

+1 i sat invest the 130 bucks in an intake and 100 bucks in a muffler delete and see how that works out .

a jb3 alone will not beat e55's or new M3's. Supporting mods and higher maps are required.

Actually i have beat new M3's with a jb3 tune only, 3 times on 3 different occasions.

And i was able to stay neck and neck with a CLS55AMG.
Take it what it is for, Map 7 w/ 93 octane, car running strong.

Get a boost gauge and monitor your boost. I don't see why a boost gauge is not a first mod, it helps with alot of the guessing.

MAP5 is fine on 93/94oct. in today temps on an otherwise stock car. MAP3 would be more suitable for 91. Make sure your car runs smoothly no hesitation under load, very close to stock power delivery, just more of it.
