System suddenly stopped working today, not during driving but upon starting the car. Tried restarting the car a couple of times, no change. Volume knob and audio button do nothing - no response. Cd can be inserted and removed but does not play. No radio or satellite.

This is a 2009 335d with the upgraded audio system.

BMW said they are aware of some faults in this model, and that an upgrade might be needed. Car is booked to go in next week.

Any thoughts on whether this could be a fuse issue? Anyone else had this problem and was it resolved quickly?

Needs an amp. Not that uncommon.
