Anybody have the iphone mounted on the dash?

My phone is disabled when plugged into the ipod adapter. Is there anyway that I can listen to music on my iphone and use a nav program with it on the dash? Maybe I just have to do buy a separate ipod for music.

Your ipod should be disabled, not your iphone. I can listen to music and browse and use applications.

You can get a ipod cable extender and run it under the trim piece to that mount. I have my nav in that same spot and its completely hidden. I have though about doing the same w/ my ipod cable.

Navigon, hands down. Now that they added text-to-speech for street names and traffic in v.1.3.1 - it blows the competition away.

TomTom's iPhone version has been a disappointment. Plus, their policy is to shaft their customers - they stop supporting PDA phones over time and try to force you into buying a standalone device, offering no upgrade option at the eame time.

iBeech.... I want to install my 3gs on the centre console and LOVE Pro Clip... did you happen to take pics on how to run the wires through the trim? (Not just the finished product but a mini DIY write up).

Did you just hardwire it for power or back to the arm rest and integrate the 6FL?

Can we plug and extension like this http://cablejive.com/dock-extender-cable

Into the BMW YCable and get full 6FL functionality?
