Anyone get a extended 100,000 warranty with 335i?

If so how much did you pay?

Actually, you can buy into the extended warranty even after you get your car. The longer you wait though, the more expensive it gets.

why will it more expensive if u buy it like a few yrs later? I thought it is a set price. can we bargain the warranty with the dealer though?

Older the car is before it's insured, the higher probability there's something wrong with it. It's the same reason when you buy a new car the insurance company doesn't need to inspect it. But if 1 year down the road you want to change your deductable, it requires an inspection.

Also when you buy it earlier, they can build interest off your lower amt for the first 4 years that the cars covered buy the mfr warranty.

It's why I didn't get one. I do plan to keep the car for abotu 7 years, but there's no way I'm not going to put 100K on it. Heck I had a hard time putting 10K on it the first year and that was with 6 trips to NC from DE.

Servicing a BMW after warranty is really expensive if you go to the dealership. Luckily around here there are 2 great BMW specialty shops that are reasonable for if I ever do need work.

You must be talking about a 3rd party warranty. You can buy the BMW extended warranty anytime before the original warranty is up if you are the original owner. It's always the same price.

I don't see what the big deal is about keeping your car till its totalled.

I try to keep a car till it's killed by someone else. For example, my 2000 Infiniti was totalled by a Ford Escape. He rear ended me in August. So I ordered the 335i coupe. : )

Does that extend the "4-Year Maintenance Warranty" or is that completely different?

What does the 100k warranty cover specifically? Is it an extension of their full bumper-to-bumper warranty or just parts and labor or something?

I believe there are two different warranty extensions. One is for parts and the other is for maintenance. You'd probably want to get both.

http://www.twinkidneygrill.com/Quote.html

I am not too sure if that website has the cheapest pricing, but I am pretty sure dealer would be more expensive, even if they would accept BMWCCA discount (which I doubt).

I am probably going to extend both of them myself some point in the near future since I rack up a ton of miles every year.

100,000 miles will be in 2027 at the rate I'm going...I would keep the car that long, because why say no to 15 years of payment-free motoring? I just hope that any defects surface in the first 4 yrs.

imho this type of thinking is like going to the mall for an engagement ring--not only do you seriously overpay, but 1/2 the time you don't even get the right cert. It's for the person who likes convenience and easy payment terms.

Nah, 20 years is too long for a car. Technological changes and fuel efficiencies will outdate our current vehicle in 10 to 12 years.

I will look to replace the 335i with the model after the next redesign.

I too would look to replace in about 10-11 years, but I wouldn't get rid of the 335. What a 10 yr. old BMW 3 is worth wholesale/private party is too little imho, so why not keep it granted you are the original owner?
