Dealership conversion of halogen to euro xenons

Recently I purchased a set of adaptive euro bi-xenons from ADHD . After discussing with Tyler(ADHD) I spoke with a service manager at my dealership(Ganley BMW) about doing the conversion for me. I know every dealership is different but mine has agreed to do the conversion for me. Which this may be the first dealership in the states to take on this task?

I know those of you who have done this are saying to yourself, "Why would you have them do it. Save yourself some money and do it on your own."

Well I don't want to. I don't have the tools, the time, or the help. PLUS the dealership has said, by them doing it everything will be under full warranty. They will replace them to how I have them if anything were to happen .

The dealership is also going to try and figure out the pesky warning light, as well as trying to get the adaptive feature working . I'm rather impressed with how well the dealership is taking care of me. The service manager and tech performing the install are going to meet with me when I drop the car off to go over all of the guides I have compiled with Tyler's help. I am even getting a loaner car, which really shocked me.

I'm sure if everything goes well, those of you wanting to do this may have an opportunity to ask your dealership. Or if close enough, and don't mind the drive to bring your car to my dealership.

I would like to thank Tyler for all his help in answering all of my questions and concerns of the past month. I would recomend his business to everyone on this site. If his guy can continue to get him good priced headlights you guys better buy them, you won't be disappointed!

My service appointment is set for this Wednesday (9/27) morning. I will keep everyone updated on the status of the install.

After the DC Metro gang and myself installed my euro adaptive xenons this past weekend, I could easily see how a dealership could charge an arm and a leg for the install... And it wasnt even all that bad...

But mine also was not a halogen to xenon mod...

Yeah, I dunno. I'm giving them all of the usefull info everyones posted about the install. So with the tools they have they shouldn't need to spend more than 2-3 hours installing. But they are doing all the programming which no one has really done so far, so we'll see.

They are installed!! Sorry for the bad pic. Took it with my razor.

Dealer did the programming and found it to be the footwell module that causes the error. This confirms what Tyler is thinking, as well as trying. But he is still waiting on his module. I should be all finished on friday afternoon with no errors:rocks: They cannot get the adaptive feature to work. They have determined it to be part of the wiring harness and sensors. Costing way out of the range I want to spend, so they are a no go.

I'm so pumped! I can't wait for night pictures

how much did you spend? i think its really cool of the service manager to agree to do this...

PICS....

don't worry about adaptive, its not a big deal at all, and as you have found out it isn't worth the time.

To clarify, you must change the footwell module in order to get rid of the error message??

Overall the dealership should cost about $900 w/the footwell module and all install time. Which is prolly not worth it to everyone but I personally didn't spent +35K for a car that will give me an error message everyday.

EXELLENT!!! so stoked to hear the dealer did it although it was at a high cost U can personally say you are the only one in the states that has done this that we know of! The footwell module will solve the problem!!! It has been done already in indonesia so I dont see why it would be any different!

Congrat!
I gave the work to the dealer and they were very happy to install my euro xenon.

Too bad that they charged you too much. I paid $120 for labor and reprogramming the computer.

congrats...somehow my feeling for clear has subsided. Maybe because so many more folks in the us have them now. If there is one for like 300, I would get it but not for more than 1000.
