Is there a way to see the song titles in the wheel dash display? I searched the forums and I didn't find any information. It seems like a pretty basic feature but I didn't see how to do it when we went on the test drive. I love the interior but it is a bit minimalist! Why didn't they just keep a simple radio display by the volume knob? Oh, and why is the volume knob so darn tiny!!!

If not, is there a way to always see the song info in the main screen?

I'm new to BMW... we're selling our '03 A4... hopefully getting a 335xi.

I've never seen a radio that displays the tunes on a FM station. Satellite radio displays the group and song title - one of the many reasons that I never listen to FM and use my satellite tuner all the time.

If you turn on the RDS and PTY options in the radio dash, and the radio station supports the feature, then you will see the name of the radio station, program or song their are playing. Otherwise, all you will see is the FM frequency.

I'm afraid I didn't explain the issue very well. Is there a way to see the song title of xm radio in the dash display? If not, is there a way to always see it on the nav screen? If they would have simply kept the radio display with the nav option, then this wouldn't be an issue. I'm asking about the dash display area since our A4 displays the title in the dash.

With the newer iDrive system you can have the entertainment details stay up on the split screen so you see the channel, the artist, the song title, etc. Same with MP3s and RDS/HD radio.
