Shuffle mode for music library?

Is there a shuffle mode for the music library on 09 Idrive? I'd read the manual but it is in dutch, and apparently I can't serach to save my life.

Also, can I somehow permanently transfer my Blackberry address book to the car?

No shuffle mode (as far as I can determine) What I end up doing to mix the music up is play by song title, rather than by artist. Actually makes for some interesting playlists:
Love Hurts
Love Lockdown
Love Drunk
Love Shack
Love Theme
Love Is Alive
... you get the idea

You mean for music on the hard drive?

Yes, there is. Push the options button, scroll down a couple lines, and then click to check the box for "Random". Done.

It definitely works, but every time you kill the ignition or turn it off, it "unchecks" Random. So, it you get through 100 out of 500 tunes on your drive, then stop for gas, you have to select Random again and will likely hear those 100 songs again. Kind of stupid.

I have followed the directions to go to music collection/options/random. A track does begin to play from my music collection but the details of the track being played do not show in the idrive. If I attempt to click through to the screen that shows the details of the track being played, it cancels the random mode and begins playing tracks from the last album selected. So, I assume when playing music randomly from the entire music collection, one must leave the idrive on the "Music Collection" screen and, therefore, cannot view the details of the tracks being played?
