iPod Playlist not showing up

I can get my iPod to work fine through my idrive, but I cannot access any playlists. I have to select the artist first, then the song. This can get annoying on long drives.

Any help?

Also, why is there not an alphabet option on the artist list. I have to scroll through 300 artists to get to Winger...

Are you sure you've scrolled to the bottom of the screen? The "Playlists" option is the last menu option listed on the screen that displays genre, artist, album, song, start track, current selection, etc, etc. I think, by default, my screen displays all the options except "playlists" and that's because I have to scroll below the 'fold' of the screen.

There should be a "search" option only at the top of the genre, artist, album, and song submenus. It has a magnifying glass icon. If you don't see it there, I don't have a solution.
