Holy crap I'm hot for the Toyota FT-86
This car has me lusting bad. Haven't felt this way since the s2000. Guess I'm just into small lightweight RWD type sportscars
I wasn't too impressed with the first official released images but check out this new set of FT86 pics! http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8 Those blew me away. Ok the interior is a bit too anime but it'll get toned down for production anyways. As long as that exterior stays the same sign me up! |

with only 200-250hp (speculation) and n/a flat 4, I hope they keep the weight down.
It does look promising though. Toyota needs this. Bad. |

I think it looks more like a 370Z and a Genesis Coupe fucked, then their baby fucked a Miata while daydreaming about a GTR

If they actually put a turbo-boxer engine from Subaru in it, it could be very promising. An N/A 4 might be a little underwhelming in the power department. And what's with the zippers in the interior?

Meh. Not a big fan. Interior dash looks cool but doubtful that would make it to prodcution.

if that center console, dash and seats make it to production, i am buying the car... these concepts are always so unrealistic... they show something uber-cool and then when the car is launched, it will look like just another toyota with tons of hard plastic.

supposedly subaru is working on providing their STi variant of the collabo as a turbo with speculation that it would also be awd although i wouldnt be too sure of the latter.
http://www.autocar.co.uk/News/NewsAr...ASpx?AR=243822 even sweeter is toyota D-4S direct injection system applied to 2.0 subaru boxer. supposedly ~200hp http://www.autoblog.com/2009/02/18/t...nclude-direct/ i see this and the next generation/F20 1 series taking over/competing for the enthusiast automotive market in 5 years. and i cant wait. |
